Your voice trembles as you sing me to sleep
Seems we both know the end is near
Colors have faded and your touch has grown colder
Summer's left and now it's over
With my eyes closed I can still feel that first touch of your lips
Smell your cigarette breath when we first kissed
The sun seemed warm but the sheets were warmer
Summer's left and now it's over
Nights as long as days
Never sleeping
Everything fades
Bruised hearts on borrowed time
What now is yours once was mine
Bruised hearts on borrowed time
I can still see it when I close my eyes
Lips like summer, winter arrives.
This is one of the best releases combining influences from post- & black metal I heard in recent years. The songwriting is excellent and leads to a very distinct sound. Tons of atmosphere and emotions carried by huge melodies. Production also outstanding. Highly recommended to anyone listening to atmospheric black metal. Daniel Diekmeyer
